Less than half an hour from Barcelona, Viladecans will surprise you. We’ve got shopping, the latest trends, entrepreneurs, culture, and gastronomy based on local produce. The perfect destination for a weekend break, to enjoy time with the family, partner or friends, or however you prefer!
Keep an eye on our events calendar for news of fairs and festivals. There’s always something going on here. What can we say; we like to keep busy. For example, every July the theatre and other dramatic arts take to the streets for the Festival Al Carrer de Viladecans. Also popular are the Fira Medieval (Medieval Market) and the annual town festivals, both in summer and winter. And not forgetting the Fira de Sant Isidre (St Isidore Fair) during which the Viladecans Mostra Gastronòmica (Food Fair) takes place.
A vibrant city
Get ready to discover a vibrant, modern city which keeps its farming traditions alive and cherishes the nearby Parc Agrari (Agricultural Park) as the breadbasket of the Baix Llobregat area.
Not far away, the planes from Josep Tarradellas Barcelona-El Prat Airport fill the skies, but so do numerous species of birds, some stopping off on migratory routes, others which live year-round in the nature reserves of the Llobregat Delta.
For nature lovers, there are mile after mile of breathtaking beaches, some of which have been awarded “Virgin Beaches” status by NGO Ecologists in Action. Others are fully equipped and with a range of services, making them an ideal destination for families. We even have a few nudist beaches. Whichever you choose, all of them are perfect for a fun day at the beach. We’ve also got woodlands where you can take your mountain bike for a spin or put your new walking boots to the test.
