The Present and Future of the City at the AmVassadors Summer meeting

Eleven members of the AmVassadors — the program in which prominent residents of Viladecans represent the city around the world — gathered on the evening of Thursday, July 10, for their annual summer meeting.

The event, held at Can Modolell, served both as an informal get-together and as an opportunity to catch up on the present and future of the city, led by the Mayor of Viladecans, Olga Morales. This was Morales’ second meeting with the AmVassadors since her appointment as mayor. She offered an overview of the actions and projects launched in the city during her eight months in office, with particular focus on the upcoming new neighbourhood, Roca City Gavà-Viladecans.

During the gathering, the group also visited the historic original store of the Calbet Home Appliances chain, located at 15 Major Street. Led by its top executive — and fellow AmVassador — Joan Carles Calbet, participants learned about the history of the company, which is a key part of both the city’s history and the home appliance retail sector throughout Catalonia.
